Legacy High School - Auditorium
On Monday, November 6th, the Legacy High School Band Department will present its annual fall concerts. This event will take place in the Legacy High School Auditorium. We will have two concerts featuring our four concert ensembles on a wide variety of concert literature. The Freshmen Band and Concert Band will present their concert at 6:00 PM while the Prep Band and Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30 PM. The Freshman Band will be performing Whiplash by American composer Russel Standridge, Frank Erickson?s beautiful and lyrical Air For Band, and will conclude with the classic Karl King march, United Nation?s March. The Concert Band portion of the evening will feature an eclectic collection of works including the exciting Into the Storm by Robert W. Smith, the lovely Resplendent Light by Tyler S. Grant, and will conclude with The Shady Grove arranged Travis J Weller. The Prep Band will be performing Fanfare for the Third Planet by Richard Saucedo, followed by the beautiful Wonderous Love by Greg Danner, and concluding with the exciting Firedance by David Schafer. The Wind Ensemble program will start with the exciting Samuel Hazo piece Ride!, then Frank Ticheli?s lovely arrangement of Loch Lommond, and closing with the classic work by Alfred Reed entitled Alleluia Laudamus Te. This concert will truly be an amazing event as the students have been working exceptionally hard for this performance. On behalf of the entire Legacy Band Department, we hope that you will be able to join us for what should truly be an exciting night of music. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and seniors. BPS employees get in free with their name badge. | |
